This structure is the complex containing human topoisomerase IIalpha (hTopoIIalpha), DNA (cleaved) and amsacrine (bound at both the amsacrine-binding sites). Amsacrine is an DNA-intercalating hTopoIIalpha poison which prevents hTopoIIalpha mediated DNA re-ligation and causes DNA strand breakage.
